And the hosts are lovely so I am sure they would accommodate any other reasonable requests.What I loved the most was the company of animals: the horses, the dog, chicks, sheep. There were also a couple of cats who, alas, never came close to me as they were way too busy having fun in the fields, so I just enjoyed watching them from afar. Winsum is beautiful too: the canals, the churches, the houses. No wonder it is rated the most beautiful village in the country.The location is great for a starting point to explore the area: Pieterburen, Groningen, Lauwersoog, the Wadden Islands are very close and so worth visiting.
